We aren't. Our main objective is to provide the extra context in planning and infrastructure issues that Irish media and politicians are generally failing to provide. We want to provide an objective comparison between pre- and post-BusConnects transport options in Dublin.
The only info we ask that you share with us is your email address, so that we can send you a notification whenever your route is planned out. The moment that notification is sent, your email is removed from our database, and at that point we no longer store any data about you at all.
We do intend to use completely anonymous, aggregated data about the journeys that are requested, such as reporting an overall average negative or positive consequence in journey times under BusConnects. In addition, we will track 'reactions' to each journey plan that we create, but there is no identifiable information contained in this.
The BusConnects plan currently exists as a PDF document only, and there is no API available to calculate routes on the fly. Therefore, when you make a journey request, we will hand-process it and use those documents to build a plan for you.
